No Tribal PREP- Spring Break

We hope all of the youth enjoy their Spring Break. Tribal PREP will not be meeting on Monday April 1st.  We are taking the week off for Spring Break. We look forward to seeing everyone on April 8th. • End of the Program Celebration: Friday June 28^th  @ Knotts Berry Farm amusement park. We will be providing breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Community Night- 3/28/13

Please join SDAIHC and the American Indian community for a fun gathering. We will have a raffle that includes Native artwork & a Viejas Entertainment gift card. Please come out to socialize, eat and learn more about how HIV/AIDS is affecting American Indian communities.

Tribal PREP- Session #7 3/25/13

We hope everyone enjoys March Madness basketball this weekend. We are continuing the Becoming A Responsible Teen (BART) section of Tribal PREP.  The topic for session #7 is developing and using condom skills. The focus of session #7 is to understand the statistics behind condom use rates in the Native American teen population. We have two fun activities called "Overcoming Embarrassment About Buying Condoms" & "Countering Barriers to Using Condoms" planned for Monday. We hope everyone is enjoying daylight savings. We are continuing the Becoming A Responsible Teen (BART) section of Tribal PREP.  The topic for session #6 is making sexual decisions & understanding your values. The focus of session #6 is to understand our Native values and how they factor into making important decisions. We have two fun activities called "HIV Feud" & "Support Systems" planned for Monday. Tribal PREP- Session #4 3/4/13

We hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather! We have recruited a Planned Parenthood educator to co-facilitate Session #4. The Planned Parenthood educator will provide information about birth control options and STI/HIV prevention. We also have a Native American "Teen Parent Panel" video to show. The teen's in the video discuss the difficulties of being a Native teen parent. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.
